This guitar is a true sleeper! Not all Jay Turser’s are created equal – many that come off the production line feel cheap/sound cheap with little attention to finish detail. Others (like this one) come out better than acceptable and are just exceptional for the price point. This JT-133 has some serious 335 vibes but with a slightly elongated waist compared to a traditional 335. Nice transparent burgundy-red finish. Creamy binding around the body and neck. Awesome neck shape with a cozy rosewood fingerboard, jumbo frets and a nicely figured nut. Solid hardware and electronics throughout on par with any Korean-made Epiphone, Dearmond, etc. The humbuckers sound surprisingly nice with marked range and articulation. Shows signs of wear and tear throughout but plays wonderfully with low action and good intonation ( mainly finish scratches/swirling, a missing pickguard with holes, some hardware wear). Secretly a cut about most MIK guitars at the $500-600 price point that we have seen.
