For sale is an awesome 1975 Greco EG800 in very good shape. Pickup codes date it to January 16th, 1975. This was Greco’s top of the line model made in Japan during the lawsuit years. Killer tone, playability and aesthetic you know and love from a classic 1970s Les Paul without breaking the bank. It features the coveted Maxon U-2000 humbuckers with the black covers. The sound is huge, articulate and with a very hot PAF sound. Ebony fingerboard. Solid two-piece maple top. Nice 70’s neck shape with a soft finish worn gradually to touch. Not all MIJ sunbursts came out nice in this era, but this particular guitar is just gorgeous with the perfect patina very reminiscent of an old 60s burst. Solid bone nut, solid bridge setup and solid tuners. In great shape overall with only minor bumps and bruises on the body/neck, some fret wear, slightly fatigued nut, one unoriginal pot with a widened hole on the top (nothing too scary but worth disclosing, see photos). Clean electronics, good intonation and set up with DR Tite-Fit .010s set with low action and ready to rock!
