Here we’ve got one of the cleanest Gibson B-series acoustics we’ve ever seen! Gibson Serial Bluebook dates serial number 527100 as a 1968. This is a near-closet-classic find with very little signs of play or wear and tear. Purchased new from Northampton Music here in Northampton, MA and largely unplayed. Gorgeous spruce top, mahogany back and sides , mahogany neck with wonderful grain patterns and overall luster. Rosewood fretboard and a beautiful Brazilian Rosewood bridge equipped with a trapeze tailpiece. Nicely-figured bone nut. Solid tuners with original plastic buttons that show no signs of degradation. The saddle slots are original and the whole system seems to be in great standing. Working truss rod. Almost no signs of fretwear whatsoever. Even the pickguard is in excellent standing without typical shrinkage and/or curling! There are still signs of age (mainly the lacquer cracks you can see in the photos on the top of the guitar, a few small marks on the top, some on the back of the neck) but this sweetheart feels extremely fresh and could use some heavy playing to truly give it the life it has wanted since the 60s! Included with the price is basic chipboard case to protect it in shipping.
Ask us for an international quote. We have permits on the ready for shipping Rosewood overseas. This one will require an extra week perhaps due to the Brazilian Rosewood requiring further registration with USFWS.
